Bobeches - Metal, Crystal, and Porcelain

Chandelier and Candelabra Bobesches

Bobeches also spelled "bobesches" (pronounced bow-ba-shay) for Chandeliers and Candelabras. Originally bobeches were designed to catch the wax that dripped from candles on early chandeliers. These are now considered an accent piece in which the socket, bulb and candle cover rise from. A Bobeche in Lighting is used as a Drip Plate under the Candle Socket to give the appearance of a real wax candle fixture.
