Risers and Shade Rests
A Riser is used to Make a Lamp Harp Taller. A Shade Rest, like it's name, is used where the Shade Rests. They generally have Female Threads on the Inside and Male threads on the outside.
A lamp riser is a component used in lighting fixtures to adjust the height and angle of the lamp. It is a short length of pipe with screw threads on both ends that is used to connect to other threaded components, such as the lamp socket and the lamp shade. Lamp risers come in different lengths and diameters and can be made of different materials, including brass, steel, and aluminum. By connecting different components with a lamp riser, the height and angle of the lamp can be easily adjusted to suit the desired lighting conditions. Lamp risers are commonly used in table lamps, floor lamps, and other portable lighting fixtures, and are an essential component in achieving the desired lighting effect in a given space.
